Karin Urquhart, a resident of Lake Almanor and Fairfax, California, is an award winning artist specializing in oils and watercolors. Many galleries include her paintings both in Plumas County and the San Francisco Bay Area. Karin is a member of the Marin Society of Artists where several of her paintings have been displayed and sold in juried exhibitions. A hiatus from her painting occurred during a distinguished career of public service in the field of environmental conservation. Now retired, Karin has returned to a life long love of painting. In her business, Expressions by Karin, her note cards and Giclee prints of original oils and watercolors are enjoying widespread popularity, locally and elsewhere in the United States and abroad.
